Cheryl Hazan Gallery | Silo6776 is pleased to be participating in Future Fair 2023, May 10 -13th
First launched in 2021, Future Fair aims to be an approachable environment that allows a variety of diverse voices to thrive in a typically competitive landscape by giving a scene to emerging artists and young galleries.
Participating artists are Ryan Brown, Saskia Fleishman, and Hugo Lugo. Artworks include paintings and works on paper and metal.
Ryan Brown and Hugo Lugo are circumstantial in the approach of their art form. The distinction blurs between accidental/deliberate; correct/incorrect; right/wrong. Brown and Lugo both embody a sense of humor, of playfulness and a degree of absurdity into their artforms. In contrast, Saskia Fleishmans’ artwork is rooted in nature, her memory and a spiritual sensibility.
Each artist explores their personal temporal world to reveal art rich in wonder, liminality and realms beyond our own. This curation of artwork presents a study of contrast between the artists’ approach and method; but nonetheless, reaches a transcendental realization that they are able to coexist with the capacity to experience awe.
Future Fair takes place May 10 -13th at Chelsea Industrial, 535 W 28th Street, New York, NY 10001.
